Important Information About Insect Growth Regulators
- Hard chemicals such as Dursban, Diazinon, Malthion, Lindane, and other petro-chemicals can be dangerous to you and your dog, and they become less effective with each repeated application.
- Insect Growth Regulators are NOT pesticides. They do not kill the flea. For the same reason that they do not kill the flea, they do not harm people or pets. Most are bio-degradable to mammals.
- Insect Growth Regulators disrupt the metamorphosis of the life states of the insect, preventing reproduction by preventing one stage of the flea life cycle from changing to another.
