Tri-Tronics SPORT Combo G3 dog collars are an upgrade over the Sport Basic dog collars. These units have 20 stimulation levels plus a tone-only option and can work up to 3 dogs. They are the first TriTronics collars to incorporate more than 18 levels of stimulation.
Since training should always be accomplished at the lowest effective level, the more levels you have, the more finesse you can employ. No need to jump to a level that is too high just because there is no level between non-effective and getting a response. Helps eliminate over-correcting. This is a feature usually found only on the PRO series but at a much lower cost.
Mode selection dial allows you to pre-set one of three stimulation schemes for your particular training style or situation:
- *TCM Mode (Basic) is 10 levels of momentary and 10 levels of continuous and a tone sound
- *CMM Mode is 10 levels of continuous and 20 levels of momentary.
- *MCC Mode is 10 levels of momentary and 20 levels of continuous.
The dial on the front of the transmitter allows you to change the mode "on the fly" (the first training collar to allow that option while the dog is wearing the collar). The consistent 1/2 mile range is plenty for most types of training.
