Professional dog dryers come in all shapes and sizes.  They are designed specifically for safe and professional results. Human dryers are not only difficult to hold and brush your dog at the same time.  They get much too hot for a dog's delicate skin (which is much more sensitive than a human scalp).

Cage dryers blow directly into a cage, heating the air space around the pooch. Most modern, professional, cage dog dryers use the heat of the motor to produce the warm air rather than using a heating element. Most have timers. Some stand up in front of the cage or can stand at the edge of the grooming table. Other mount to the cage front. Many cage dryers have attachments to use them as hand-dryers or water blasters.

Water blasters are used to blow the water from a dog's coat before he is actually dried in his cage or put on the grooming table. They save time and energy. A quick sweep of the blaster and he is significantly dryer before he is handled.
