Portable Dog Grooming Tables & Accessories
It's surprising how important having a dog grooming table is when it's time to clip your dog. The table "centers" your pet, showing him the limits of his movement. The noose reinforces those limits. It helps to keep his head up and his body in a good position. Some groomers don't use a noose. However, most home groomers need the noose to keep the dog under control. NEVER LEAVE THE DOG UNATTENDED ON THE TABLE - NOOSE OR NO NOOSE.
Introduce your dog to the table in a non-stressful, petting session. Then add brushing to the activities (the non-painful kind). Let him go to the edge and look over. Be prepared to stop him if he tries the big leap. After a couple of sessions on the table, he'll be a master at standing and sitting calmly while you groom.
Some tables come with the grooming arm. Some do not. Some are lower for large dogs to stand on and some are higher so you can reach tiny dogs more easily. All of the portable tables fold up into a small, flat configuration for convenient storage.
