Medicated Dog Shampoo

Medicated dog shampoos are a tremendous help in the battle of dog skin problems.  Many, many breeds suffer from seborrhea, dermatitis, fungal infections, bacterial infections and skin conditions caused by allergies.  Tar and sulphur shampoos are particularly helpful for most of those conditions.

While tar shampoos don't smell as nice as aromatic dog shampoos, they work their way down into the sub layers of the skin, washing off the damaged surface and treating the new layers that are emerging. For the best results, let them soak while you rub for several minutes before rinsing. You'll be amazed at how healthy your dog's skin  looks and smalls after his bath.

Many veterinarians treat hot spots with tar bath and and tar salves.
